Victoria Bond conducts Chamber Opera Chicago in a Menotti Gala directed by the composer's son, Francis Menotti. Scenes, arias and ensembles from 11 of Menotti's operas, feature 35 singers, chamber orchestra, projections, costumes and sets.

Mixing/Mastering is completed for the CD recording of The Old Maid And The Thief. Brad Dale (the studio engineer at Dallas Audio Post) and Robert Emery (our Producer/Director) report “complete satisfaction” with the end results. A sample of this CD is sent to several record distributors, to verify interest from certain record distributors and to weigh the distribution options for Lone Spring Arts.

Lone Spring Arts gathers the finest instrumentalists and singers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex to record Gian Carlo Menotti's The Old Maid And The Thief. The Lone Spring Arts Orchestra, conducted by Victoria Bond, is made up of principle players from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and The Dallas Opera Orchestra.

Lone Spring Arts casts singers in roles for their CD recording of The Old Maid And The Thief. Natalie Arduino sings the role of Miss Todd; Lynn Parr Mock sings Miss Pinkerton; Nicole Franklin sings Leaticia; and Blake Davidson sings the role of Bob. Jon Morehouse lends his considerable talents as the Narrator.

After many months, Lone Spring Arts secures the rights to record The Old Maid And The Thief. This is a rare occurrence for any property in the Menotti library. Rights to record Menotti works are seldom granted. Lone Spring Arts is proud to be recognized as a qualified Musical Arts organization.

Lone Spring Arts hires Victoria Bond to conduct our recording of The Old Maid And The Thief. Bond, known as a great interpreter of Menotti's music, has conducted many of his operas with Chamber Opera Chicago, and will conduct a Menotti Gala in October 2007 directed by the composer's son, Francis Menotti. Victoria Bond is an internationally known composer and conductor. She has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Christian Science Monitor and featured in People Magazine and on the NBC Today Show. Her compositions are available on CD.

(Scotland) – Don Bailey, our principle flutist and orchestra contractor, works with Gian Carlo Menotti at his home in Gifford, Scotland; researching his publisher holdings and creating a chronology of his works. This special project remains ongoing.
